Mozambique covers an area of over 800.000 sq. km, three times the size of Great Britain.

Society & Population

In 2012 the Mozambique's population is estimated at just over 23,700,715 million, according to the National Statistics Institute (INE), is concentrated in the cities of 7,385,294 inhabitants and the remaining 16,315,421 inhabitants in camps.

The attraction of foreign direct investment is a priority for the Development of the touristic industry and the Government of Mozambique considers the sector of tourism as one of the bases for the social and economic development of the country and we want to attract investments and prestige through loyalty and reference achieved through the investors, and national and foreign tourists.

The climate of Mozambique, influenced by the monsoons from the Indian Ocean and the hot current of the Mozambique Canal, is generally tropical and humid with two seasons

History

Mozambique was a Portuguese, overseas province and then a member state of Portugal. It became independent from Portugal in 1975.
