Chimanimani National Reserve

The reserve was created by Decree 34/2003 of 19th August 2000. It is situated in the province of Manica, district of Sussondenga the highest point in the country – Mount Binga 2454 m high on the border with Zimbabwe. It covers an area of 1000 km2.

It is an area destined to the development of adventure tourism activities. It is a border area which, it is hoped, will soon develop its full potential.

How to get there:
Via the border post at Machipanda on the way to Beira (Beira Corridor) if coming from the town of Chimoio.

Protected Species
To protect the global conservation of a unique endemic ecosystem.
